Communities in Bloom and American in Bloom – Making a Tourism Difference

Raymond Carrière is the Founding President of Communities in Bloom. He is responsible for the management, funding and development of the organisation. He also serves as Vice-President on the Board of Directors and chairs the Program Committee.

With a college degree in ornamental horticulture, a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a Master’s in Public Administration, Raymond has a long career in public green space management, including the Outaouais Development Corporation, the National Capital Commission and the Ottawa-Carleton Housing Authority as well as for Ville de Saint-Laurent (Qc) and Ville de Kirkland (Qc). He is a strong believer in the value of green spaces, and a passionate advocate of their benefits for society.

Raymond is also a member of the Association des responsables d’espaces verts du Québec, the International Federation of Parks and Recreation Administration and a board member of the Nutrients for Life Foundation.
