16 January 2013

Held every second year, the 2013 Garden Tourism Conference will take place on March 18 & 19 in Toronto during Canada Blooms, Canada’s largest flower and garden festival.  Conference location is the Delta Chelsea hotel in downtown Toronto.

Unique in North America, the conference strives to bring together the continent and the world’s leaders in Gardens and Tourism in order to grow both industries.

The theme of the 2013 conference – Gardens and Tourism:  A Match for Success – will be echoed throughout the two day event as each session will twin a garden speaker with a tourism speaker in order to underscore the opportunities of working together in the garden tourism marketplace.

Included in the price of registration is attendance at the annual presentation of the Garden Tourism Awards.  This is the only award program in the world that celebrates best practices in the Garden Experience industry.  To view winners of previous Garden Tourism awards, click on the ‘Media’ button on the top navigation bar of this site.

On Wednesday, March 20 – two post conference activities are being offered:
•          A morning ‘Garden Tourism Readiness Workshop’ and
•          An afternoon visit to Canada Blooms including a cocktail reception with the Executive Director and Board members.
Be sure to register for one or both of these events when you register for the conference.
