It seems that the stars have aligned themselves to make Montreal the 2013 summer garden destination. Why you ask?
First Mosaïculture International is back for the whole summer at the Montreal Botanical Garden. We all know it is a major garden draw and a crowd pleaser. Then of course there is also the ever so fascinating Montreal Botanical Garden, itself a World Class Garden Attraction. Montreal will host the Canadian première of the Glass Gardens of the world-renowned glass blower artist Dale Chihuly. Usually his Glass Garden exhibition is featured in a Botanical Garden, but starting mid June Chihuly’s Glass Garden will be presented at the Musée des Beaux Arts de Montreal. Created 2 years ago are the Downtown Gardens organized by the Montreal District.com, offer a unique garden experience with its 20 small urban gardens connected on a circuit. The Governor’s Garden of the historic Château Ramezay offers a 18th century horticultural experience.
So there you have it, from the contemporary to historic garden experiences, by connecting the garden dots, Montreal ends up with the biggest Garden Tourism offering for the Summer of 2013 that any Canadian city as seen in a long time. And to top it off VIA Rail is offering a Montreal Garden Experience Package to make it easy for you to visit.
